8月19日 time to move on...Well, I still have not remedied the fact that I can't add pictures, so my solution is...a new webpage. If you want to continue tracking our little family...you can find us at www.whitesinthevalley.blogspot.com 8月2日 picturesWell, for some odd reason I can't seem to get pictures on here. I'll try to work on it and get some up before it's time to put up 5 month pictures...and update our house ones. There has been progress on the house...although right now things are at a bit of standstill.
We're off to Ontario tomorrow...YIPPEE!! Theo is excited about the plane ride. 7月27日 zaeli is 4 monthsHard to believe a lot can happen in a day. On Wednesday, upon sticking my finger in Zaeli's mouth I discovered 2 teeth!!! She's been drooling a lot but I didn't expect those pearly whites to appear quite so soon. Instantly it felt like she'd grown leaps and bounds, no longer a helpless baby, especially when a few moments later she rolled from back to front. Then the next day from front to back again. She really is a mover now, enjoying her excersaucer as well. This past week Theo has shown a new side, the jealous older sibling side. He made comments like 'Mom, don't sing to Zaeli', 'Mom, put Zaeli to sleep', and jumping in the excersaucer before I get there with her. Ah, well, this too shall pass. So we'll enjoy it while it lasts. 6月27日 3 monthsTime never stops.
Well, Zaeli had her first giggles this week. SO CUTE!!! I think Skylar manages to get them out of her the most. I had Theo and Zaeli in a shopping cart and they were just giggling at each other. She's very quick to smile. She also no longer stays put when you lay her down, not safe on the couch anymore that's for sure. I think she may be starting the long road of teething. She continuously is chomping on her fist and is grabbing things and chomping on them. She's also packing on the weight. At her shots 2 weeks ago she weighed 13lbs. 6 oz. 6月4日 2 monthsWell, Zaeli is over 2 months...I'm just slow. I wonder if anybody looks at this AND 2nd babies are SO different...in SO many aspects. One of them being photo taking and documentation. She's very responsive these days...quick to coo and smile. She's a chubby one too...at 6 weeks she was 11lb. 12 oz. 5月1日 1 monthHard to believe that Zaeli is already one month old. She's already starting to coo. She's growing like crazy, we estimate her to be about 11 pounds or so. Theo continues to be excited to see her in the morning and at random times during the day when he remembers he has a sister. 4月1日 Life ChangesWell, Zaeli is now 6 days old. She's still sleeping lots...yippee! Our family dynamics certainly have changed, I feel 10 years older with a second child. Theo seems more active than ever before and more sensitive as well. We're also building a house. I guess we thought life was too dull. Hopefully we'll be moved in awhile before Christmas. We'll see how that progesses. 2月22日 getting settled...Well, it's been awhile but it feels like we've lived in a whirlwind since Christmas. Skylar moved to Invermere the day after we returned from holidays, the same day our house went on the market and was sold that very night after the very first showing. What a HUGE blessing and relief. I continued to work full-time till January 31st, then a day later packed up the rest of the house and made the move to our 'new home', as Theo calls it. We're getting settled in and I'm enjoying staying home with Theo. At this point we're enjoying quiet evenings and weekends. Skylar really enjoys his work as well. I'll do a work entry soon. And it's only 3 weeks and a few days before the baby is expected to arrive. Hard to believe it's already that time. 12月18日 2nd birthdayHard to believe he's 2. He really enjoyed various birthday festivities, first a White family birthday, then out to McDonalds and Happy Feet (which he proved he was too young for) then a friends birthday party. He knows how to say 'birthday' so much so that when his sitter took him to the pet store the people there sang Happy Birthday to him. He's been enjoying his gifts this week... 10月9日 hockeyTheo's new favourite word and activity....hockey. He seems to know that the NHL season is back in full swing. Sunday morning, 7am he was standing at Skylar's side of the bed with his 2 hockey sticks and puck, ready to play. We've discovered that the older he gets the worse we are at taking pictures. Yesterday we had an extended family dinner...and we didn't take a single picture. Sigh. 9月10日 newsWell, we have a couple pieces of news...one is that baby #2 is on the way. I suppose most of you may know that by now, but if you haven't heard, there it is. Baby is due to arrive late March. Next, it looks as though we'll be moving. Moving to Invermere, BC. Sky has a fabulous job opportunity, not one to easily pass up anyhow. So, it looks like Sky will be headed out that way right after we spend New Years in Ontario with my family. I will follow in February, once my mat leave starts. The future has many questions. We are SO thankful that we are able to follow as God open and closes doors in our lives. To know HE continues with us each step of the way is great comfort. God is in control... It will be hard to move into a new community, have a baby there and get settled. I already feel this as a stretching experience. I need to remind myself to live in today, not the future. THIS is the day. 9月4日 summers overWell, the summer is over, and it's been a busy one. My parents and sister were out for visit for about a week at the beginning of August. The 2nd weekend in August we went camping with the Whites in the Kananaskis and it was CHILLY!!! Theo only wanted to play in the car...while wearing his toque and mitts. Believe it or not, we are the worst picture takers ever. We have only a few pictures of August, yet lots happened. We attended 2 toddler birthday parties. Lots of fun. We went to the zoo. We also had a live in sitter for a week in August. That was GREAT. Theo enjoyed staying home and got lots of sleep in. Now I can't think of what else happened. But Theo is starting to talk, new words every day. We can actually communicate!!! 7月23日 gramsSky's Grams passed away in her sleep the night of July 21st. She would have been 90 on September 4th. We miss you Grams! campingLast weekend we went camping to Sunset Beach, near Rimbey, AB. We headed out early Saturday morning and it was a HOT day. Theo loved the beach as well as the playground. He loved being in the outdoors and having his parents spend all their time with him, not having to attend to household duties. I think he likes camping. 7月9日 marathon - in honour of uncle gordSky ran his first HSBC full marathon this morning. He finished in 4:44:37. His body aches...but he did good. backyardWell, here's a few pictures of the backyard...a few things have changed since they were taken. The old, leaf-less lilac bush (stick) is replaced by a healthy looking lilac bush, thanks to my in-laws. Also, the sunflowers and lettuce is no longer standing due to the hail storm we had. 7月3日 mini golfYesterday we had a great day with the Campagnes and the Dycks. Had a BBQ then out to mini golf. Theo made it through the course and was quite amused by the similarity, yet differences from the hockey stick and puck. 6月29日 trip to ontarioTheo and I spent a short 7 days in Ontario. Theo had tonnes of fun running around the yard. Pushing the stroller, with a soccer ball in it, seemed to be his favourite. He's got several scabs from falling and looking at balls behind him, through his legs. He also went on his first boat trip to the fishing resort I worked at in Ontario. He loved it and promptly fell asleep during the ride. He also enjoyed the flight to and from Winnipeg. On the way back to Calgary he fell asleep during take off. A fun time with family and friends. 6月17日 18 monthsWell, on the 15th Theo turned 18 months. Hard to believe. It was a rough day for him, with teething, a cold and shots. Not a happy camper. In general he's a happy, very energetic boy who now loves to pick up his little hockey stick and shoot the puck around the living room floor. He's starting to talk and even said 'OILER' the other day, much to his dad's exciement. Theo and I are looking forward to a flight to Ontario for 8 days. Now that we've moved closer to the airport Theo has taken great interest in planes, we'll see what he thinks of the airport! kitchenWell, the kitchen is nearing completion. Still need a new hood fan, grouting done on the countertop...and 2 doors (that you can't see in the picture.) Feels good to have cupboard doors. |
